3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment "Military Realism Unit" - Welcome Address
- Posted by: Holmes, Alex
- Date: February 27, 2012
The 3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment is a "Military Realism Unit." This means we use a rank system and structure which is close to how a real Army unit operates, we use tactics and strategies that are used by Army units, and we operate like a real Army unit would. However, we don't allow the soldiers' "ranks" to go to their head. Instead, we use our structure to provide a well-run and organized unit. We play the game, but our leaders also run training, operations, courses, and various schools. Some of our soldiers are former or current military, but many aren't as well. Our soldiers are all a minimum age of 16. To be a ranger in this unit, you must be at least 16 years of age to qualify as an enlisted soldier and 18 to qualify as an officer (Must complete the Officer Leaders Course).
While our soldiers do play various games, our foundation is based in ARMAII, utilizing custom missions and addons. As a Military Realism unit we do hold drills and operations as well as regular public realism scenarios.
If you think you have what it takes to become a ranger in the 3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, please visit our forums and read the information that pertains to enlistment in the "Enlistment Information" forum. The information contained there will allow you to evaluate whether you wish to be apart of this fine unit or if you would just like to continue playing with us as a civilian. If you have what it takes, submit your enlistment papers as soon as possible!
Sincerely,
3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment

Administration Headlines
Rangers! If it's Sunday, it's time for the Redliner, presented to you by your friendly G5 Staff in the Public Affairs Department!
Rangers, G1 has already announced uniform inspections for this upcoming week. These inspections, though regular in nature, are being conducted due to the recent influx of personnel in the unit. It's strongly encouraged that the check the Uniform Code of Military Justice and ensure you are compliant with the UCMJ prior to said inspection. Command is taking this seriously as should we all.
G2 is tasked with keeping our unit safe and ensure that we maintain the high standards that set us apart from the rest of the pack. Remember to maintain your communications discipline when in our public server TS as it goes a long with ensuring that everyone is playing efficiently and effectively.
The Training and Operations Department is currently heavily involved with both our recruit class and the next phase of training, the AIT course. Recently pictures of the [3-75] version of MOUT were posted on the forums. The staff loves to get feed back so drop them a line when you are making your daily passes through the halls.
With the update to the server by G4 and the recent added weapon cache mission to the selection pool, we have a full assortment of options to choose from when playing on the public server to bring in the interest. Use these missions and tell us about them. Logistics has some future projects in the pipeline which will be announced at a later date.
G5 is preparing for a major recruitment blitz going into the month of February. We are asking everyone who hasn’t already to PM or post link to boards you would like to see yes utilize in our efforts and get our beloved unit noticed. We are asking you because you are obviously the type of people we want here, like-minded tactical players. G5 has also got a gaming section up on the forums, so be sure to stop by and check it out.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated to the unit last month, it was a surprise to our Sergeant who was expecting to pay most of it himself but we all came together and helped out which is exactly what this unit is about. Lets show him that we aren’t a one-hit wonder and repeat our offerings again this month. Support your unit as best as you can!
